Almost any format
Open MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus and FLAC, or cut the sound from an MP4 or MOV video.
Fast and private
Your file never leaves your device, so there is no upload wait even for long files.
Getting a clean cut
Zoom in by looking closely at the waveform: the flat sections are silence or quiet moments, and they are the best places to cut. Cutting in the middle of a loud sound can cause a click, and a fade of even half a second hides it completely.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a ringtone from a song?
Open the song, move the start handle to your favourite part, click "30s ringtone" to select 30 seconds from there, add a 1-second fade out, and download as MP3. Android phones, and iPhones on iOS 26 or later, can use the MP3 directly as a ringtone.
Can I make an iPhone ringtone?
Yes, on iOS 26 or later. Cut a clip of 30 seconds or less and save it as MP3. On your iPhone, open it in the Files app, tap Share, then "Use as Ringtone". On older iOS versions, import the clip into GarageBand and use Share → Ringtone.
Does cutting reduce the quality?
Choosing WAV keeps full quality. MP3 at 192 kbps or higher sounds the same as the original to almost everyone. Pick 320 kbps if the source is high-quality music.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no upload, so the limit is your device's memory. Files up to a few hundred MB, or several hours of audio, normally work fine on a computer.
Can I remove a part from the middle?
This version keeps one continuous section. To remove something from the middle, cut the two parts you want to keep separately. Joining clips is on our list of upcoming tools.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no watermark, sign-up or limit on how many files you cut.
