Tip: to get the audio from a video, just add the video file. We'll extract the soundtrack and save it as MP3 or WAV.

Private by design: everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How to convert OPUS voice messages to MP3

  1. Save the voice message from WhatsApp or Telegram to your device (see below), then add it here. .opus and .ogg both work.
  2. MP3 is selected; 128 kbps is plenty for voice.
  3. Click Convert.
  4. Download the MP3, which plays on any phone, computer or car.

Private voice notes stay private

Voice messages are often personal. Most online converters upload them to a server; this one converts them inside your browser, so the audio never leaves your device.

Want to keep just part of a message? Trim it afterwards with the audio cutter.

Frequently asked questions

How do I save a WhatsApp voice message?

On Android, long-press the message and use Share or Forward to save it to your files. On iPhone, long-press → Forward → Share icon → Save to Files. On WhatsApp Desktop, right-click the message → Download.

How do I save a Telegram voice message?

On Telegram Desktop, right-click the voice message → Save As. On a phone, use the message menu to save or share the file.

Why do voice messages use OPUS?

Opus is designed for speech and sounds clear at very small sizes, which is ideal for messaging. Many music players and older devices just don't support it.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Conversion runs in your browser on your own device, so your files never reach our servers, and large files are just as private as small ones.
